Rick is a global technology CEO, most recently leading the turnaround of NXP Semiconductors as Chief Executive Officer and President, a position he held from 2009 to May 2020. During his tenure at NXP, Rick grew its value from $1.5 billion to $50 billion. Rick guided NXP through four significant divestitures and mergers.

Prior to NXP, he was a senior advisor to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., a private equity firm. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Agere Systems, Inc., an integrated circuits company. Rick was responsible for tripling its stock price and leading Agere through an acquisition.

Rick currently serves on the boards of Hewlett Packard, Pallidus, SecEdge, FIRST, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
